Carbon Poker Unveils New VIP Program - Effective February 1st
When Merge Gaming announced on Tuesday that rakeback would be ending January 31st, they stated that VIP program changes were imminent that would make the scheme more appealing to players already on the VIP program as well as lessen the pain of players who were previously on the rakeback program.
Carbon Poker has released details of the program, and as expected, some players are likely to welcome the changes, while others -- especially those on a 35% rakeback plan -- may not be as pleased. All changes, reportedly, were made on the premise that the entire playerbase would feel the indirect benefits from a stronger poker ecology on Merge Gaming. Poker ecology issues are hotly debated by disciples and since books could be written on the subject that is an issue for another day.

Important: Make sure you inform your rakeback players that they must use their VIP points by the end of this month or they will be lost!
The program maintains the same basic structure as before but has shifted the rates around a bit. To help players know where they stand with this new program versus the previous program and flat rakeback, we have provided a comparison that you will hopefully find helpful.
