bwin.party to Stop Accepting New WPT Poker Sign-Ups

Update: WPT Poker will continue to accept new sign-ups but not through the affiliate channel. Originally we reported that all new signups would be halted.

We have received word from a top bwin.party affiliate rep that the group will halt new sign-ups to WPT Poker through affiliates beginning March 1st. The brand will continue to operate for existing players for the foreseeable future while offering standard Party Gaming promotions. Affiliates will not be affected by this change and will continue to receive normal revenue-share commissions on referrals prior to March 1st.

This news does not come as a huge surprise to those following bwin.party over the last year or two. Since the merger of bwin to the Party Gaming platform at the end of last year, an increased emphasis has been put on the two major brands -- Party Poker and bwin -- while WPT has taken a back seat.

Traffic on the network since the merger is up over 25% but has leveled off over the last few weeks.. They have maintained a healthy lead over #4 network iPoker but have yet to sustain an edge over the relaunched Full Tilt Poker.

If you are currently promoting WPT, we suggest that you request a campaign for Party Poker and/or bwin Poker from the PAS publisher admin. Both offer 100% up to $500 sign-up bonuses and VIP programs to players while offering 25% revenue-share to affiliates.

Please stay tuned to PAS for the latest online poker room news across the industry.
