P5s HogWild Poker League Kicks Off March with $500 in Prizes
We're just two days away from the start of PocketFives' weekly league on HogWild Poker in March. Our four March games begin on Tuesday the 5th and the league will once again distribute $500 in cash plus PocketFives Gear. If you have no idea what we're talking about, HogWild Poker is a free-play U.S.-friendly poker site that offers a ton of cash and prizes every month to its players. There's no cost whatsoever to take part in the PocketFives League, whose games regularly get about 100 players.
Here's what we're playing for this month in four PocketFives League games. Your performance in each one will determine your overall standing on the League's leaderboard. You can play in as many or as few of the weekly games as you'd like, and at the end of the month, we'll award the following prizes:
1st Place - $250 cash + PocketFives hoodie
2nd Place - $100 cash + PocketFives t-shirt
3rd Place - $75 cash + PocketFives t-shirt
4th Place - $50 cash + PocketFives t-shirt
5th Place - $25 cash + PocketFives t-shirt

Plenty of members of the PocketFives community play, so the League is a unique opportunity to interact with others outside of the forums. We've scheduled League games weekly on Tuesdays at 10:00pm Eastern Time in order to accommodate our friends on the West Coast of the United States:

If you already have a HogWild Poker account and want to join the League, just open the HogWild client and click on "Leagues" at the top. Then, search for "PocketFives" and click on "Details." You'll see an option in the middle of the page that says "Join League."
HogWild will be intricately involved in several other promotions in March on PocketFives. We'll be holding a NCAA March Madness pick'em contest that will be free to play and sponsored by HogWild. We'll also have the first PocketFives Open of 2013 on HogWild Poker in two weeks that will be available to U.S. players. We'll be announcing the details of both promotions in the near future, so make sure to check back to PocketFives for more information.
After you sign up for HogWild Poker, you can also compete for a World Series of Poker Main Event seat. The site is dishing out seats to the Main Event and various side events. For the former, just register for games in the HogWild Staking Series and play in 20 or more of them between March 1 and May 31. HogWild will only count your top 20 finishes and whoever is on top of the Main Event package leaderboard after May 31 will take it home. It's a pretty simple promotion with a five-figure prize.
Once again, HogWild happily takes U.S. players and there's no cost to play. You can purchase Hog Bucks within the game, which can give you a leg up in promotions like the Staking Series, but this isn't required.
