patpatpanda Stops The Rot - Wins $272k in Big PLO Games

As anyone following the online high stakes scene will know, Macau based action junkie patpatpanda hasn't exactly excelled himself since he opened his account at Full Tilt Poker, losing over $1m in the during the short time the site was open in 2012 and lost a further seven figure score in the opening months of 2013. However, yesterday he made step in the right direction as he won $272k playing in the biggest PLO games available online.

He took all his winnings during the evening, and it had been a very quiet day at the tables until these games opened up. First off he opened two tables of $250/$500 PLO and played for around 1.5 hours against Ben "Bttech86" Tollerene, Hac "trex313" Dang and Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies. Over the two tables patpatpanda was a small (c.$34k) winner with Ziigmund doing most of the damage in these sessions (+$176k), win Tollerene the biggest (-$193k) loser.

Things opened up even more when the action hit the $400/$800 PLO tables and the players were joined by big game players Ben "Sauce1234" Sulsky and Jens "Ingenious89" Kyllönen.

One table played for close to two hours before they moved on to two new tables which played on for just over two hours. patpatpanda was the biggest winner in these sessions, winning $300k between two tables, but losing $64k at the other. Tollerene on the other hand continued to lose, dropping a further c.$300k across the three tables to end the day almost exactly $500k down.

The biggest pots of the day came from the $400/$800 games and in total (including one at the $250/$500 tables) there were five pots in excess of $200k played out yesterday. Here are the biggest three;

trex313 is left drawing to a 4 or running J's or K's and not surprisingly Ziigmund manages to fade these unlikely outs twice to take this $286.8k pot

In this $250/$500 PLO hand Ziigmund rivers the nuts and gets paid off by Bttech86 in this $261.4k pot

It's perhaps a little surprising that there was only one other six figure winner from the big PLO games as trex313 ended the day a $106.3k winner (he also won $71k at PokerStars, if he is indeed, as is suspected, Barcode).

The second biggest winner of the day actually came from the NLHE tables of PokerStars, primarily the $200/$400 tables as ragen70 won $143.2k playing against the likes of altiFC, thecorster and KTPOKP. He took down one of the days biggets pots while he was at it;

forhayley slow plays his flopped top set of Aces all the way to the river where ragen70 spikes a club flush to take this $143.4k pot

The $400/$800 games continued for a while early this morning so there should be some decent scores to report tomorrow so come back to HSDB then to find out.
