Tailorbet receives Isle of Man licence

Tailorbet receives Isle of Man licence

Peer-to-peer online sportsbetting network solutions provider Tailorbet Limited has been awarded with a Network Services Licence by the Isle of Man’s Gambling Supervisory Commission.

Tailorbet revealed that the Network Services Licence covers all business-to-business and business-to-consumer activities for the pooling of operators’ players and will allow partners to join from anywhere in the world.

“Tailorbet’s offering represents a genuine innovation in the online sportsbetting landscape, providing the means for players to create highly customised bets against players from a variety of sportsbooks and networks, bringing casual users together with regular players and appealing to both,” said David McKenzie, Chief Executive Officer for Isle of Man-based Tailorbet.

In an effort to remain as one of the world’s top destinations for the online gambling industry, the Isle of Man recently initiated a postgraduate qualification course in iGaming and integrated the subject into its Work-Based and Integrative Studies (WBIS) higher education programme.

“We wouldn’t want to base such an exciting operation anywhere else,” said McKenzie.

“The Isle of Man boasts top-tier information and communications technology infrastructure, easy access to London, a flexible licence regime and more. The relationship between government and the iGaming industry is one of openness and proactive support while the robust licensing process inspires confidence in the integrity of the sector and the regulatory regime.”

According to government statistics, 688 people out of the Isle of Man’s total population of 84,655 are employed in the iGaming sector, which contributes £164 million a year to the Manx Exchequer.

“We are delighted to welcome Tailorbet to the island,” said Ray Davies, Head of iGaming Business Development for the Economic Development Department.

“It is exactly the sort of innovative operator we seek to attract and the latest chapter of an impressive period of growth for the sector.”
